Jim Molinelli, author of "Remodel! Without Going Bonkers or Broke" series

Jim Molinelli, author of

Author and remodeling consultant, Jim Molinelli joins Mike to talk about his work in preparing clients for contractors. This information is invaluable to contractors because we can glean from his techniques how to prepare our clients for their budgets. We go on to discuss his book series. I've read both of his books and I am saying that, from someone who has read every book tangentially related to running a small contracting company, this series is the best I've read. I've recommended his book to friends and clients. This book would have really benefited me as a young contractor even though it's written for our potential clients. We also let the cat out of the bag...we chat a bit about the manuscript for my upcoming book....

The Contracting Handbook podcast discusses the behind the scenes running of a small contracting company. Your host, Mike Knoche, has been running his small contracting company for 16 years. Here he shares what worked for him, mistakes he made along the way, and his “aha” moments. It’s everything from starting up, working with employees, subcontractors, and client. He’ll get into proposals, contracts, marketing and much more. It won’t just be Mike’s perspective as he will talk to contractors from all over  the world of any variety of size and structure because through his travels in the off season he’s come to see that contractors everywhere have similar business needs, struggles, and ideas in common.
